RICH GOLDMAN
Executive Producer
Rich Goldman serves as executive producer on Judge Hatchett, Sony Pictures Television's nationally syndicated weekday courtroom series, currently cleared in its eighth season for 2007-2008 in 98% of the country.
Goldman has been producing for Judge Hatchett since season one, and was elevated to the position as the sole executive producer for the series beginning with the 2007-2008 season. Under Goldman's leadership, the series will continue to center around Judge Glenda Hatchett's signature "interventions" geared for families in crisis and teens in trouble, as well as cases that involve family relationships and paternity disputes.
In addition to serving as executive producer for Judge Hatchett, Goldman continues to serve as co-executive producer for Judge Maria Lopez, now entering its second season, and the newest TV courtroom show Judge David Young.
When not filming the Sony Pictures TV judge shows Goldman uses his time to tape Rich Goldman's Creature Quest, a DVD series for kids, where Goldman leads viewers on searches for wild animals -- including gorillas, tigers and humped-back whales -- in exotic locations across the globe. Goldman's next adventure is slated for the Galapagos Islands in January of 2008.
Before joining Sony Pictures Television, Goldman produced numerous MTV specials and series, and also produced Comedy Central's Cable Ace Award-nominated series, Viva Variety. Goldman was also awarded a SPORTS EMMY for NBC's coverage of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, where Goldman boasts he was punched by "Dream Team" member Charles Barkley.
Raised in Houston, TX, Goldman is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with his new bride Jane and their dog named Puppy.
